Originally from the Rochester area, I graduated from West Virginia University with degrees in Chemistry and Forensic Science, as well as a minor in Biology, in 2015. While there, I tutored in the Chemistry Learning Center for 3-5 hours each week, summing to over 200 hours of tutoring experience during my 4 years at WVU. I also worked as a teaching assistant teaching an organic chemistry laboratory, mentored students both in the field of chemistry and on adjusting to college life in general fo... [more]
While I not only minored in Biology during my time at WVU, I also took numerous Biology & Biochemistry courses during my time in grad school at UCSD. Furthermore, my research at UCSD was biology-oriented - I was looking at interactions between membrane-associated proteins and peptides.
I majored in Chemistry as a student at WVU. Furthermore, I tutored over 200 hours of chemistry during my 4 years at the school. I went on the receive my M.S. in Chemistry from UC San Diego, and worked as a a teaching assistant there for a full year as well.
I took ample biochemistry courses while in graduate school to compliment my research on the biophysics of protein folding.
Not only do I have my M.S. in Chemistry with ample tutoring and teaching experience in the sciences, I have trained as and worked as an ACT Science tutor in the past.
