I graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA with a major in Biological Science and a minor in Microbiology. My experiences in undergrad were phenomenal and I believe the methods and personalities of my professors sparked my interest in pursuing the studies of biology. During the time I attended NSU I was a tutor of Biology, Microbiology and Human Anatomy and Physiology. I was also entrusted by one of my professors to instruct one of his microbiology labs. Biology

I declared my major in biology upon first entering undergraduate school due to the exposure I had in high school. While in undergrad, I had the opportunity to work with professors in independent study labs and in teaching a class while my professor was out of town. I was also selected to be a tutor by my professors in biology in the schools science lab; these experiences prepared me to be able to teach what I currently instruct in and have continued to be an integral driving force throughout my many years of teaching.

Chemistry

I declared my major in biology upon first entering undergraduate school due to the exposure I had in high school. While in undergrad, I had the opportunity to work with professors in independent study labs and in teaching a class while my professor was out of town. The coursework that I encountered proved to be rigorous and subjects such as general chemistry, organic chemistry, and analytical chemistry were required. After teaching basic chemistry concepts for 14 years, I have grasp on the subject matter and will be able to express that knowledge if given the opportunity.

Physical Science

As an instructor of science, I have taught physical science for 9 years consecutively. The years that I taught physical science provided my students with a way to make basic physics and chemistry fun and easy to understand. Currently, I teach physics and chemistry as separate but rigorous courses to upper level high school students. I am certified to teach all sciences from grades 6-12.
