Government & Politics
I studied Political Science at Brigham Young University and received a bachelor's degree in 2009. And I worked for a Congressman in Washington D.C. for one semester. Currently, I am a prosecuting attorney in Pennsylvania.
I attended law school at the Pennsylvania State University. My first year I studied the fundamental classes required to think like a lawyer including: Torts, Property, Evidence, Constitutional Law, Legal Writing, Legal Research, etc. My second year I took a few specialized classes including Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure and the Supreme Court Seminar. My third year I was a member of the Civil Rights Appellate Clinic and was a member of a team that took a case to the U.S. Supreme Court. I graduated in 2012. The summer after I graduated I studied for the Pennsylvania Bar Exam by taking a Bar Exam class offered by Themis. I took the Pennsylvania Bar Exam in July of 2012. In August of 2012 I was hired as a law clerk for the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas. I found out in October of 2012 that I passed the Bar Exam and I then became a licensed attorney. In August of 2014 I was hired as a prosecutor. I have been a prosecutor since then and I have successfully completed over 30 jury trials. I am an expert in the Rules of Evidence and Criminal Procedure because I use them everyday. I am intimately familiar with many of the subjects on the Bar Exam because of my legal training and experience.
I have been an Assistant District Attorney (prosecutor) for over three years. I have prosecuted over 30 jury trials covering a wide range of crimes from retail theft to homicide. I work hand in hand with law enforcement officers to ensure that justice is served on those who commit criminal acts. I am also a guest speaker in a college level class entitled "Careers in Criminal Justice."
