Hello! My name is Jade and I am a SODA (sibling of a deaf adult), so sign language has been part of my life since I was a kid. My brother taught me while I was a baby so I was able to communicate with him and my parents before I could even speak. When I was younger I took ASL classes at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside and in college I took four semesters of ASL as well as Sign Language Interpreting. I have known sign language since I was little, my older brother taught me and I grew up signing with him. I went through the ASL Interpreter Training program at Riverside Community College and graduated with my Associates degree. A year and a half later I received my Bachelors degree in Sign Language Interpreting. I have been a freelance interpreter for five years.
