Creative and immersive teaching for curious minds

I am a professional actor/singer/dancer/writer, currently employed at an Equity regional theatre as a vocal coach and performer! As a magna cum laude Honors College graduate, I have vast hands-on experience with the areas of theatre, dance, choreography, music theory, singing, composition, creative and academic writing, and the list goes on. I just finished performing in an eight-month national tour of a children's musical called Clementine. Before that, I performed for 1.5 years with a compa... [more]

Algebra 1

I work professionally as a remote copywriter for an advertising firm based out of NYC. I was an active member of the selective Honors College at Ball State University, and graduated magna cum laude with my BFA in Musical Theatre. My major allowed me to combine my love for theatre and writing in the form of playwriting. I received several commendations for my class-written plays, and was chosen to receive a paid internship to assist author Iris Rainer Dart with writing a musical adaptation of her novel "Beaches" in 2015. I have since begun my own creative writing blog about acting as an art form, which I add to regularly.

Music Theory

I have a combined four years of schooling in music theory, and use it almost daily. I am in the middle of composing an original score for a professional production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Atlanta. I analyze sheet music as a singer/actor, which allows me to constantly keep up my skills in music theory. I love to find meaning in music based off of the structure of a song--there is so much story told in music!

I graduated magna cum laude with honors, receiving by BFA in Musical Theatre. I have been consistently employed by a professional, LORT D regional theatre since the day after my graduation, and will begin my third contract with them in July. I have professionally choreographed, composed, and music directed all for professional productions nationally. My acting training began at my arts high school and continues daily, as I read and write about acting after our daily performances.

Voice (Music)

I have been taking vocal lessons for nearly 15 years, and have been singing professionally for about 8. I prefer to focus on the technique and the storytelling combined, since one directly influences the other. I have been training students from elementary to college ages since 2014.
