As a former music education major, I am qualified to teach all band and orchestra instruments as well as vocal music. I have practicum experience in public schools and I enjoy working with children. In my future career, I will use general music in my music therapy work as well.
I played piano for 10 years before studying it in college for two years. I passed proficiency tests such as, choral score reading, scales and chords, four part hymn playing, and classical music. I have been teaching piano for two and a half years in both private lessons and large classes.
I have taken the education courses necessary to teach vocal music. I started a children's choir a year and a half ago and have taught voice for two and a half years. I have been singing all my life and enjoy teaching others to do the same.
